It's been a while since my last post! I have a good excuse though. My baby has had his first cold and fever. Two saturday's ago I get up with him in the middle of the night and discover he is burning up, snot is pour out of his nose, and he is coughing. I rushed him to his changing table to take his temp. And sure enough its 102. Yikes! Actually I was quite calm until I couldn't find the baby Tylenol. What kind of parent am I that I am not prepared for a moment like this. So at 1 am I loaded him in the car and we drove to Walmart! (thank goodness for it being a 24 hour one) My kid is the best - 1 am, snot running out of his nose so fast I can't keep up with it, a fever and he is still flirting with the workers at Walmart. Smiling and sometime I think even winking at the girls. How great is that. After a bit of a search for the Tylenol (I didn't realize they had a special section for kids medicine set apart from the rest of the drugs so it took me a bit to find it) we were on our way home. I suctioned the snot out of his nose, gave him the Tylenol and a bottle and put him back to bed. We had survived his first fever. The snot continues unfortunately. . . yuck. But my little man keeps on smiling even with the green gook running down his lip. No matter how much I suction and wipe I can't keep up. - side note - I never thought of what to do with the snot once you get it in the suction thing. Where do you put it? You can't just keep the snot in the little thingy because you have to squeeze it again before you suction. Lets just say my first few experiences with the snot sucker thing were not pretty - as I was not really prepared for where to put the snot.
Enough on that. My boy is waking up from his nap! Here are some snot pictures to enjoy!
