I decided to start this blog as I was sitting feeding my son at 2:30 in the morning. I realized that my elbow was on his laughing and shaking Bert and Ernie ball. One wrong move and he would be awake for hours. I have never sat so still in my life. It was at that moment I thought what a great story to share on a blog. So . . . here it goes.
Being a new parent I learn something new everyday. My husband Adam and I spent 12 years trying to get pregnant. Then through some awesome miraculous works of God on April 5, 2008 our son Noah was born. Suddenly after years of waiting, trying and 2 cycles of in-vitro-fertiliztion(courteousy of the Kofinas Fertility Institute Brooklyn, NY everyone there is the best) and a bit of a scary pregnancy - and an even scarier delivery - the nurses at the hospital handed us this amazing little person and told us to go home. WHAT!!!! Seriously - everyone jokes that kids should come with an instruction manual and they should. I mean they try and teach you all the important stuff before you leave the hospital- like how to bathe them, when to feed them and change their little diapers. But as far as the crying for who knows what reason - you are left to figure that out on your own.
I love being a mom. It is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I know my husband feels the same way about being a dad. I mean the things you learn. Like baby boys pee when you are changing their diaper. Who knew? We laughed so much the first time Noah showered us.
This is my reason for blogging. To share with all the adventure of being first time parents!
