Community

We woke up this morning and heard the news that the blizzard would hit around noon today.  Already by 10 am the temps were dropping and the rain was turning to snow and the wind was beginning to pick up.  But not even the threat of a blizzard was going to keep us from an annual Pomeroy event.  Santa was visiting our town today.  He comes to the community building every year.

The whole community comes out.  There is food served and there is a toy land for the kids to pick out a present. Every one sits around and visits after the kids have had their visit with Santa.

Noah had his turn with Santa.Grandma and Grandpa took him over. After they backed away  he wasn't quite sure what to think as we all stood around and tried to get him to smile.  Even when Mrs. Clause handed him a toy it didn't help my 'cautious at first' boy crack a smile.

This is as good as it got!  He loved toy land though.  He got a new car.  He was pretty excited about that.

It was a fun way to spend the morning before the blizzard hit!

But we never got the boys to that, I guess.
