Thanksgiving tales...

What a crazy couple of weeks.  2 weeks ago as I was on my way shopping my truck, which I have had for 10+ years and love, died. (I tend to get attached to inanimate objects that I really like)  I was at a stop light and as I pushed the accelerator there was a very loud bang.   The transmission had blown up.  Nuts bolts were scattered over the road.  It was freezing and raining and my awesome husband had to push me down the street and into a parking lot.  What does this have to do with Thanksgiving you ask?  The junk yard guy came to get my truck, my beloved truck on Thanksgiving Day.  We were able to get this cool new car thanks to a gift from some very special people!

Our actual Thanksgiving dinner was on Friday because my sister and her family didn't get in until 6:30 Thursday night.  Amy, my sis, Dondi, her husband and my niece Dani.  Good looking family right?
Friday morning I got up at 2:30, went shopping with my sister and niece and then came home and made this...
It was very tasty, delish, rich, sweet, crunchy, delightful, everything pecan pie should be. MMMMMMM...to bad there is none left I could go for another piece now.  Oh well.
This is my whole fam...well almost...my niece Donna wasn't able to come.  But I think it is the first time that Adam and Dondi have been present at the same time!  It has been an awesome weekend.
                             We cooked...
                           We cuddled...
                              We ate sweets...
And we took pictures to remember this awesome family time together!  These times are too few and far between!
